How to Take Life by the Balls, Transform Your Business and Live the Life You ALWAYS Dream About!

OK…. here’s where you’re wondering what this will cost?
You say “cost”, we say “investment”.
Losers think about “spending” or “it costs this much” while champions & successful business owners think differently about EVERYTHING and they are constantly learning and educating themselves.
In business, successful entrepreneurs make investments because we KNOW that we will take action with at least ONE Big Idea, which in turn, will bring us a ROI (Return Of Investment). That’s ALL you need, ONE Big Idea, to begin transforming your business.
Think about it. If you implement just ONE idea from any of the 4 DVDs you will quickly earn back your investment. All you need is to pick up one client who will stay with you for 2 or 3 months to earn back your investment.
We are sure you’ll get More than one Big Idea, but taking action with these ideas will totally be up to YOU.
If you’re lazy or an excuse maker then by all means, do NOT make the investment. But, if you understand that you are gonna need to take some serious action mixed in with a heavy dose of #HUSTLE, then The 4 DVD RBU set is for you.
We unleashed our best and everything we had, now it’s your turn to learn and take action from it. If you do, success will follow.
Peace!
JT, Web & Z.
PS: If you’ve read this far it’s because you want more out of your life and your business. Hells yea! That’s the way you’re supposed to live. We’re cut from the same mold, we’re one of the same. Time for some ACTION! BOOM!

HOW TO: Assess, Measure, Understand, and Predict by Listening. Every company is now a media company. But not in the way you’re thinking. “That doesn’t mean that you need your own $15,000 Canon [camera].” Media doesn’t mean that you have to produce Academy Award-winning promotional advertisements or epic interviews. What this means is that you are always searching for what is going on.You’re looking for the scoop! You’re hunting for what’s next and what information can help your ratings! As much as you’re focused on the bottom line of your business, you are focused on the climate of your industry. You’re attentive to the trends, the voices of consumers, the lingo, the preferences, and the common distastes.
In this talk, I use some examples that may be relevant. What I want: better examples. What brands are oblivious to consumer demand, vibe, and preference? What brands are proficient in customer engagement, inclusion, and crowd-sourcing? Why is this important? As a business owner, you can waste a lot of time, effort, and resources by not understanding the climate of your industry. Some businesses and brands are primed to succeed just because they are able to listen and act. Likewise, some brands are doomed for failure because they can’t discern consumer interest. All you have to do is pay attention. It is one of the greatest examples of the immediate “R.O.I.” of social media. #REALTALK
The Mixtape Mentality. What most conventionally-educated entrepreneurs don’t realize is that the business of Hip Hop is a cornucopia of principles, ideas, and advice on how to build an empire from the street level. Some of my greatest academic studies pertained to the strategies of Russell Simmons, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Percy “Master P” Miller, and Andre “Dr. Dre” Young. The combined net worth of these rappers-turned-moguls is a projected 3+ Billion.
Curtis Jackson’s The 50th Law, one of my most coveted books, sums up the foundation for basis of my concept - The Mixtape Mentality.
The 50th Law, however, states that there is one thing we can actually control - the mind-set with which we respond to these events around us. The people that practice the 50th Law in their lives all share certain qualities-supreme boldness, unconventionality, fluidity, and a sense of urgency.
The foundation of The Mixtape Mentality is fearlessness, individuality, and a sense of urgency. There is an emphasis on personal-branding and self-development. What you will find is that these principles apply to the businesses that have nothing to do with Hip Hop, style, or even music. These principles are universal and immediately applicable as long as you remember, in business today - you don’t just work for a business, you are a business.
Presenting numbers one through ten.
HOW TO: Ignore Everybody. We all want to make everyone happy. We all want to change the world. You can’t do it all. There are internal and external influences on your business that can knock you off a great track. Internally, as a business owner - you are idealistic. You believe that you can change the world and make a profit, simultaneously, from the beginning. Externally - your friends and family are trying to give you the best advice that they have. Or even worse, they become offended when you make decisions that may not be best for them.
It is your responsibility to ignore everybody. Pick a mission and stick with it. Pick a vision and stick with it. “The chatter doesn’t matter, the vision makes the decision,” says my friend Julie Richard. It couldn’t be iterated any better. The founding premise of Hugh MacLoed’s “Ignore Everybody” is this:
The more original your idea is, the less good advice other people will be able to give you. Plus a big idea will change you. Your friends may love you, but they may not want you to change. Good ideas alter the power balance in relationships. This is why good ideas are always resisted.
These are concepts to have in mind when considering your own individuality and decision making processes. Trust your intuition and your belief system. You want to be virtuous? Be virtuous but have a thriving business first. Or be virtuous and pursue the non-profit approach to organizational behavior. Don’t let status quo determine the time and resources allotted by your business. Set idealism aside and drive toward one goal. A singular focus, if only for a time, will put you in a position to acknowledge your friend, family, and your desire to change the world with your business. #REALTALK
Part Two: The Real Biz Uncensored Conference. Some of the best and brightest minds in the business of CrossFit / Fitness / Tech / General Entrepreneurship came to the tank to think. And now, they have gone forth to conquer.
Real Biz 2011, was by far more than I expected.
Hold on, let me pause and back up a step or two so that you can see first hand how this works. I met Web Smith a.k.a @CrossfitChron on Twitter. Through social media we began to communicate back & forth on various topics. That conversation led…
In this video, Jeremy Thiel and I discuss the outcome of the long-anticipated, SICFIT sponsored Real Biz Uncensored Conference hosted by JT, Zach Even-Esh, and myself. It was one of the highlights of the 2011 SXSW interactive week! We talk about the community, the future, and Gary Vaynerchuk’s amazing capstone talk that ended the day. The RBU event was another example of the possibilities of social media and its elusive ROI. The event was completely propagated by social media word of mouth and it was a hit. Social Media ROI is real. The weekend’s tag line? One interaction can change the trajectory of your career.

This SICFIT sponsored tech/entrepreneurial event was a resounding success. Entrepreneurs from five states converged on Austin, to kick off SXSWi in a central Austin garage gym with Jeremy Thiel, Zach Even-Esh and me. The musical performance by SXSW featured artist, Kosha Dillz, got everyone’s feet moving and hands in the air. The highlight event was a one and a half hour “Thank You Economy” keynote by Gary Vaynerchuk that had the audience going wild. The event’s tagline, “One interaction can change the trajectory of your career.” Over 50 CrossFit affiliates were represented and nearly 100 in attendance. Brian Mackenzie, founder of CrossFit Endurance was in the house. So were several owners of other prominent CrossFit brands: Patricia Leighton of Stronger Faster Healthier and Aaron Thomas of PROGENEX USA. Rounding off the attendance list was Joe Vitali of “The Secret”. See what people were saying about the event: Here. The amazing photography was by Nicole J. Hughes.
Did you attend? Tell me what you thought. Didn’t get to come? What was your perception through Twitter chatter?
These are my brothers. We like different clothes and different styles of music. We have differing views of politics and religion. We spend our money differently. We have different personalities and different aspirations. Our work ethic may be similar but our ethos is born from lives that are completely different. We want to change the world but in completely different ways. Our paths weren’t supposed to cross. Instead, they crashed. About the only thing similar in our lives are our wives - but just barely. They aren’t like me, at all. But these are my brothers. And we are just alike.
